4th of july: red, white, & blue berry water

Summer officially starts on June 21st, which means the 4th of July is right around the corner. To prepare for the warmer weather ahead and add some spirit to your 4th of July drink options, we upgraded a plain pitcher of refreshing spring water with an array of fruits in patriotic colors. Sweet and delicious strawberries, apples, and blueberries helped create a low-sugar, low-calorie spa water that's perfect for 4th of July revelry. Check out the recipe below to learn how to whip up your own festive batch, and be sure to come back and post us a note letting us know how your drink turned out!

Red,White,& Blue Water
Time: 10 mins.

  • 3 red apples
  • Blueberries
  • Strawberries
  • Sharp knife
  • Star cookie cutter
  • Glass pitcher

Step 1: Rinse and dry berries, cut strawberries into quarters, and pour blueberries and strawberries into pitcher.

Star Apple 1
Step 2: Cut off ends of apples (each apple will make two stars).

Star Apple 2
Step 3: Lay apple slices skin side up, position cookie cutter, and press down firmly.

Star Apple 3
Step 4: If the party's indoors, pour filtered water into pitcher and let chill in refrigerator for a few hours before serving. If your 4th of July bash is at a park, transport chilled water bottles separately and pour into pitcher right before serving.

This fruit-flavored water not only tastes great, but adds a fun and festive touch to your 4th of July décor. Send out a coordinating Evite invitation like the one below by clicking here.
